THE 1813 BOMBARDMENT OF LEWES

Lewes continues to bear the scars of the War of 1812. On April 6th and 7th, 1813, the war came to Lewes’ shores as the town would endure a bombardment by a British Naval Fleet. Breaking Britannia’s Grasp provides a revised interpretation of the bombardment.
