Presented by the State of Delaware and Bonnie Hall. Destined to make her dream a reality, today’s guest speaker was determined to honor her tribal ancestors and to ensure that the Nanticoke Indian Tribe secured its rightful place in Delaware’s history. By developing effective collaborations and partnerships with key stakeholders, a Delaware Public Archives (DPA) marker was dedicated at Cupola Park in Millsboro, Delaware. This historical marker honors the contributions, history and culture of the Nanticoke Indian Tribe confirming their persistence to exist.
